Our Story

Who We Are

Manos Amigas Utah is a 501.C.3 nonprofit working to support detained and deported immigrants and their families in southern Utah. Our mission is to provide emergency aid and compassionate support to individuals and families as they navigate detention and deportation.

Manos Amigas Utah is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Our team works hard to respond to every request as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience as we serve our community. Our programs are funded by small community donations. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide rent or utility assistance, but we are able to provide groceries, baby supplies, and phone & commissary money for loved ones in detention.

Family With Newborns

Our vision is that all immigrants in southern Utah are supported by their neighbors.

We are building a supportive community for immigrant families as they navigate detention and deportation. With our emergency aid, phone fund for detained immigrants, and resilience resources, we aim to make a tangible difference in our neighbors' lives.

📞Detainee Phone Fund

Keeping Families Connected

For undocumented immigrants detained at Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane, Utah the smallest necessities are often out of reach. We help our neighbors stay in contact with their families and purchase items at the commissary, bringing dignity, connection and comfort during a frightening time.

🛒Emergency Aid

Emergency Aid

We provide limited financial assistance, including groceries, baby supplies, and household essentials to families who have been separated from a loved one and wage earner by ICE for 12 weeks (longer if possible).

🛡️Resilience Resources

Prepared and Resilient

We make sure that families at risk have access to Know Your Rights cards and Family Preparedness Plans. When possible, we connect families with pro bono legal resources.
